Home Alone star Macauley Culkin has wowed fans by taking part in a hilarious prank.
Many people consider Home Alone to be a Christmas classic. The much-loved movie starred Macauley Culkin, who has now created a Home Alone-style prank this Christmas.
The 39-year-old actor appeared in a video alongside NASA engineer Mark Rober. During the clip, the pair is testing home-made traps against thieves, just like in the movie. Specifically, Culkin and Rober are testing Glitter Bomb Traps that prevent thieves from stealing deliveries from porches.
Furthermore, to trick would-be-thieves, the traps are disguised as expensive Bose headphones. When they are triggered glitter explodes and a horrible fart smell is released.
Moreover, four camera phones are placed inside to record the culprit.
Macauley Culkin Home Alone Prank
Rober admits he was inspired by the movie so it’s fitting that Macauley Culkin helps his in the video.
Culkin shot to fame when he starred as 10-year-old Kevin McAllister in Home Alone. During the movie, Kevin is left alone during Christmas and must thwart opportunistic burglars. In the classic movies, he stops the thieves by setting elaborate but hilarious traps around his house.
During the new video, Culkin and Rober explain how the glitter traps are made. In addition, the actor gets a whiff of the far spray, leaving him coughing.
Rober says he created the prank after he caught someone stealing a parcel from his porch. Despite having footage of the theft, the police did not act, so Rober decided to take action.
Home Alone Reboot
Meanwhile, Disney has this month confirmed it will reboot Home Alone. According to the company, a new version of the movie will be developed, this time as a TV show. The show will air on the new Disney + streaming service that is currently having success with Star War: The Mandalorian.
