One man broke a Disneyland Excalibur sword despite the piece being just for show.
A man described as “burly” stunned Disneyland park guests and enthusiasts by pulling a fake Excalibur sword from its stone.
As the legend goes, King Arthur was the only person able to remove Excalibur from the stone because he was worthy to be king. However, one Disneyland guest managed to pull a replica of Excalibur from its stone.

Amazingly, the presentation of the Sword in the Stone was never meant to allow people to extract the sword. A man known only as Sam had other ideas and managed to break the exhibit.

The incident happened earlier this month in Fantasyland at Disneyland. According to staff speaking to The OCR, Sam was the hero of the hour.
Although, he was not quote as smooth as King Arthur and left behind a broken Excalibur. He not so much pulled the sword from the stone but tore it out instead.
‘He literally ripped it out. The staff said that it was really old and that’s why he was able to do so,’ a witness told WDW News Today.
‘It was his first time at Disneyland and he’s a pretty buff dude. I told him if he pulled it out, he’d win a prize and he just used brute force, I guess,’ they added.
All images from the Sword in the Stone attraction since Jan. 7 shows Excalibur missing from the stone (which is actually an anvil at the park).
However, the park acted quickly and by the 13th Jan, the sword was back in place and once again “unmovable”.
‘At first it seemed as if he had pulled it out, but a (cast member) quickly came over (because) he had in fact broken it,’ they said.
While one-man broke Disneyland Excalibur, do you think you would have been able to do the same?
