At the American Music Awards (AMA) over the weekend, a new Selena Gomez tattoo was on display.
Fan account @theselenarundown published images on Instagram of the singer receiving her newest ink. Looking at the photos, it seems the newest edition to her collection is a pair of praying hands holding rosary beads.
This latest Selena Gomez tattoo comes just weeks after she got matching ink with BFF and collaborator, Julia Michaels.
For the official unveiling of the new “tat”, Gomez used one of the biggest events in the music calendar, the AMAs. She confirmed the tattoo with a polaroid snap that she later posted on her official IG account.
As can be seen in the image, the new tattoo is located on the top of the singer’s thigh.
Selena Gomez Ink Collection
This is not the first tattoo for Gomez and fans point out her collection now totals 14. It’s interesting because looking at the pop starlet, you wouldn’t think she has 14 separate stamps.
As mentioned, Gomez and Michaels recently got matching tattoos. Both commented on the significance of the design they chose, arrows located near their wrists. Gomez said the design means when she and Michaels hold hands, the arrows point to one another.
Taking to Instagram earlier this month, Gomez revealed, “It’s tatted… my arrow points to you forever.”
Gomez at the AMAs
While Gomez hit the red carpet and sat in the audience at the AMAs, it was a quiet night for the singer.
With no album released since 2015’s “Revival”, the “Come & Get It” songstress was not in the running for any awards.
Last week, Gomez confirmed her new album (her third overall) will be available from Jan. 10, 2020. In an interview, she explained how the disc will have personal significance to her.
As usual, Selena Gomez tattoo partner, Julia Michaels had helped to pen some of the songs on the new album.
