to change. (that’s just the way he/she is.) 5 objectify the situation. (evaluate it from
different perspectives.) 6 Use a selective response system.(acknowledge positive
responses while ignoring rude comments.) 7 Understand why the person is rude.
(why does he/she act this way? 8 …than address those reasons. 9 Ask the
person how you can help. (Help him/her release his/her pent up emotions.)
10 Elevate your authority with the person. (don’t let the person walk over you.)
11 Maintain your dignity.(others’ action should not make you feel lesser about
yourself.) 12 Raise your consciousness where you cannot be affected. 13 connect
with people who can help you. 14 opt out of the interaction.(you don’t have to
get involved.) 15 Think about the times when you were rude to others.
